Almost all banks now offer brokerage services. Both banks and brokerage firms can be purchased on their own.
The banks are regulated by a government agency (I do not know which one). Brokerage firms are regulated, but not as Strickland. There really is not much difference except the bank can lend money without collateral. A brokerage firm No.
